Meet Amy
Welcome! I'm happy you're here, and I'm excited to share my vision with you.
My name is Amy Peura, and I taught in the public school system for over 12 years: grades K, 1, 3, & 4. I have a Master's degree in education, plus an ESL endorsement.
I began homeschooling my son for the 2022-2023 school year. He and I love the time we get to spend together, plus he has learned so much during this special kindergarten year.
I began tutoring at EdUcate, Inc. in the evenings; I love the work I am doing with students. We can zero in on specific skills, from decoding words, to talking through reading assignments together, to working on math problems. As a former high school Mathlete, solving equations is my hobby.
As of March 2023, I am now renting business space at EdUcate, Inc! My business is officially called Amy's Schoolhouse, LLC, and I tutor students inside the EdUcate building.
